Before he was the starting defensive tackle for the New York Giants, Chris Canty was number 88 for the Charlotte Latin Hawks.
As a volunteer for my high school yearbook, I was just learning my way around a camera. My first assignment: capturing Latin’s journey to the 1999 NCISSA State Championship. Little did I know, I was also capturing one player’s journey to the NFL.

What impresses me most about Chris today is his continued dedication to the community through his charitable organization. With a focus on helping youth using sports as a platform for change, the Chris Canty Foundation provides support to children in specific communities of need.
