In the summer of 2024, my cousin's husband passed away unexpectedly. He was a close friend and someone I loved dearly. That August, I visited his wife and son to see how they were doing. For three days, his son and I drove around the countryside together, talking about nothing and everything at the same time. I took pictures; he led the way. The shared loss between us was unspoken but understood. I did not set out to make a body of work in such a short amount of time. It was a gift that was given to me in the wake of grief. I share it with you in honor of Brad’s memory.
